I am a bit surprised it slid now, we have not had a real wet month. The paper said it covered two main lines. I think what happened is the RR makes a big double loop to gain altitude. It heads E up the N side of Salt creek, crosses the highway and creek as it reverses back to west. Goes W thru Wicopee then loops back to the E thru Fields and on to Frazier. All this takes some 8 or 10 miles. The slide started between Fields and Frazier then slid on down and covered the tracks in vicinity of Wicopee. I have been up there it is pretty steep in that area. You can watch a train for a half hour as it works up the valley and makes the two loops.
