Actually yes repairs are happening. I was at NCRA's meeting on Wednesday in Eureka. The Engineer Dave Anderson showed pictures of some repairs. I was hoping to get a hold of the pictures 1st before posting this.
Under the "Urgent repair contract 1" the following has been done, but maybe not all that has been done. Spelling mistakes are my own. This was my report and probably has some mistakes.
Audubon Levee has been repaired. Not part of ROW.
Shultz slough washout repaired.
Robinson creek, debris removed.
To be done, discussed at the meeting.
There is a break in the levee at Railroad slough owned by Fish & Game. Fish & Game wants to abandon the levee and put it next to RR ROW. ROW in that place is 8ft, plans are to work with Fish & Game so that the Levee and ROW are combined, bring it up to 10ft with a maintenance road added beside the ROW. This will change several hundred acres to wetlands.
There is a washout between Railroad slough and Sonoma Creek.
Part of of "Urgent repair contract 2". Between Railroad slough and Hwy 12. To increase # of drainage pipes, and the size of the pipes.
That is all I know.
