I went past Balmer today around 14:00 and you are right, the yard was very empty. But have no fear, the yard was filling up by 20:00 tonight. This just happens occasionally, I dont think there is anything to it. Occasionally on Saturday or Sunday nights you will find the yard similarly vacant. But, the PASVBT came in this afternoon, the PASVBC came in at 20:00, and the PASVBT, after dropping and picking up, left tonight at 21:30. There was also an empty grain train sitting around tonight, waiting to leave. A local southbound train ("Crew 2") also left tonight around 21:00, as they always do. FYI I listen to my scanner on my boat across Salmon Bay from Fisherman's Terminal, and I always ride my bike past the yard, so I know this stuff...
