The G&W are supposed to start working on the rails between Ashland and Black Butte this fall, according to a reliable source. Don't know if there's any work to be done on the tunnels though. However, when the G&W took over the Siskiyou line they were talking about making the tunnels larger to handle stackers. If they do so, I'm sure they would lower the floors rather than raise the ceilings. It was disasterous when CORP had to repair tunnel 13!
