Another rebuild before and after set. Any more details including specific photo location info is greatly appreciated.

Southern Pacific SW900 1178 is in the P.E. Yard in Los Angeles on December 28, 1973.

Reportedly (sources) SW900 SP 1178 was built in June 1954 as SP 4632, Class DF-306 serial number, order number 4276, serial number: 19647, frame number: 4276-7. Changed to Class DS-606 in 1963. Changed to SP 1178, SP Class ES409-2 in the 1965 renumbering. Sept 1974 this engine was rebuilt to the 1192 Class ES409E-1. Retired January 1987; to Chrome Crankshaft January 1988; to NRE 1988; ConAgra at Hastings, MN 1990; to ILSX 923 in 2008

Southern Pacific SW900E 1192 is in Oakland coupled to an Amtrak FP7 on Oct. 11, 1974.
