This should be the last of the C628s for awhile, I wrapped up the 1100s yesterday as well.

Reportedly (
sources), according to Strapac's great SP Compendium series, SP 3135 was built in April 1965 as SP 4868 SP Class DF-504, construction number 3401-24. In the 1965 renumbering it became SP 7127, SP Class AF628-2. In Sept. 1974 it was downgraded to switcher status and became 3135, SP Class AS628-1. Retired in Dec. 1982 it was sold in for scrap in April 1983.
According to Rich Hunn on Altamont Press on May 6, 2014, "3128 and 3135 were frequently used in road service between Taylor (LA) and West Colton and ran at track speed."
