Just remember that this time of year, if the Branch Train manages to get out of St. Maries on time (meaning they didn't have to dig out of snow-covered switches, had no cold-weather air problems, etc.)you'll have decent light for the southbound empty trip, but it'll be getting dark not long after he picks up loads and turns north. The Switcher doesn't offer the sexy look of log loads, but it will cross some picture postcard trestle scenes in good light. Heads up for the next day or two: UP's snow fighters had a tough weekend on the SI main. They're supposed to head for the Wallace and Fairfield Subs today or tomorrow. Don't know if they're going to plow before or after today's Plummer Turn.
