SP Alco S6 1234 is shown tied up at Pittsburg, CA. 1973.
According to good
sources including Strapac's fantastic SP Compendium series, S6 SP 1234 was built by ALCo in Aug. 1956 as SP 1067, SP Class DS-11, construction number 81808, order number S-3262. It became SP 1234, SP Class AS409-3 in the 1965 renumbering. It was retired in Jan. 1976 and became Louisiana Dock 1234, then American Commercial Terminals 1234. Disposition unknown after that.
