Unusual Starlight on Saturday?

Was there anything unusual about this past Saturday's #11? A friend said he was driving along Highway 101 near Salinas at about 10AM, and he saw an Amtrak train traveling south with Amtrak engines, and six Superliner cars.

It seems a bit early for #11 to be going through Salinas (should be around 11:45AM), and also that's not enough cars for it to be a normal Starlight.

Anyone know what he might have seen on Saturday?
