What I've been wondering, and nobody seems to be telling us, is how the short lines in eastern Washington have been coping. Every storm that's passed through here over the last month has left in its wake county road closures due to snowdrifts, some shown on the local news being 6ft or higher. I've been looking forward to this kind of winter for years, with the chance to get out and shoot Palouse locals (including UP's Plummer Turn across the edge of the Idaho Palouse) busting through deep snow. But as luck would have it, my company launched a major software/workflow change on the very Monday following that BIG snowstorm last month. Following a week of intense training, we're now hacking through the program and developing solutions and SOPS on our own. No time off to chase weekday locals for this boy. What say you who live down there in Pullman, Walla Walla, etc.?
