OTM (Oregon Transportation Museum) is about to move to Sutherlin; and due to a false start (unobtainable landlord high insurance demands) in Sheridan, OTM must hold high attendance ($) car, truck, tractor, railroad, horse-drawn and other shows; as well as concerts, to replace funds spent remodeling the Sheridan site, which will not open.

Once open, OTM will continue holding such events; both at OTM; and at sites throughout Oregon. Five (5) Team members are needed; and will split 35% of the profits from each event. Team members will work on the Disney Imagineering Team operating system; and must be team players; and dedicated goal acheivers.

OTM (once open in Sutherlin) will offer steam train rides, both electric and horse-drawn trolley rides, fire truck rides, double-decker bus rides, horse-drawn stagecoach, wagon and buggy rides; and will operate in the Disney manner; but will look much like the early 1950's Knott's Berry Farm (no thrill rides).

Persons hired for this team will have a chance to express themselves in their position; in a manner that most companies do not allow employees to express themselves. Hiree's must be dreamers, that know how to put their dreams into action. The team will also help design the new site's layout; which will include vehicle displays, a research library, live entertainment, restoration areas, ride operations, vendor types and locations at OTM (railroad hotel, railcar restaurant, hobby shop, gift shop, Spitler/Fowler Candies & Ice Cream, railcar meeting rooms, gift shop(s), etc. Once OTM acquires it's new site and begins actual site planning, team members will switch to a salary + commission type of pay; which should largely increase team members income; substantially.

This is not a telecommunications sales job; but actual planning and holding of events, designed to bring in maximim profits, to relocate OTM.

If you are not willing to put in the necessary hours and effort, do not apply. If you don't know the Disney Imagineering style, Google and read about it before replying. OTM's goal is to become not just a museum, but a museum, educational center, amusement park, convention site and major tourist destination along I-5 in Douglas County.

I'm speaking about OTM to Sutherlin's City Council; at their regular Monday 7:00 pm, Feb 11th. meeting. If you are interested in this type of work and want to visit our website, Craigslist won't allow website URL's on free posts, but if you Google "Oregon Transportation Museum" you'll find our website easy. OTM owns or has use of a real monorail, a horse-drawn streetcar, and has a deal worked out to acquire an electric streetcar. As well, OTM has thousands of artifacts, historical documents, autos, trucks, horse-drawn farm equipment and buggies, etc., to display Sutherlin has a steam locomotive it looks like OTM will be allowed to restore and operate it as part of OTM. Applicants will be expected to attend the Feb 11th; city council meeting. If an applicant does not attend, he/she will not be considered for employment with OTM.

Please send your resume and an explanation of what your reasoning is for wanting to become a member of OTM's Management Imagineering team. what your goals are; and your contact information.

Imagineer's are taught and not born. While you might have or not have a high school diploma or college degree, a knowledge of some skill in perticular, or your attitude and or goals, will be a determinning factor, of the people we hire. OTM will not discriminate against anyone with disabilities, or religion, sexual orientation, or possibly some other reasons not mentioned here. We look at your abilities to be a help to OTM; and to work with fellow team-mates.
