He is the City Manager of a fictional city in California, and his murder will revolve around a plan to link South and North California with a high speed train, a plan that reeks of corruption because everyone involved will be running after very profitable federal grants and land ownership."

And:
"Pizzolatto also revealed that the season will be about the secret occult history of the U.S. transportation system, about bad men and hard women."

So anyone out there in our rr community been approached about this production? I, taking a guess the filming will take place in the lower San Joaquin Valley or Mojave areas...
