Had to be in La Grande today for some work. Noticed that the SD60(M) that seemed to be assigned there of late was missing. Seemed to be quit a few trains with some breaks in between, but I really didn't have time to watch. I did notice one train come in late this afternoon that I swung by the depot to see as I left.

I believe it arrived from the west (Hinkle?) and was tied up in front of the depot (crew laying over?)

Only the lead unit was left running - barely keeping up with all the blasted spitters. Everything was mued air and mu cables. Was this the local from Hinkle to La Grande (symbol?) Not sure why they needed all this power. Not sure who the cars were for, but they may have already set out before tying up. Were the SD60s power to rotate to Huntington? Just really odd to have this much power on a train for La Grande. Not sure this is an efficeint use for four axle power which I thought was in short supply.
