And just exactly how is this new "master conductor"
supposed to get to a train that has problems when
there is no access to that train by road?
We do not have true Artificial Intelligence now, not
by a long shot. And just how reliable is this new
computer system that will control trains? Are we
supposed to believe that flawed imperfect humans
will be able to make computer systems that are perfect?
(And, yes, I am aware that modern jets are largely controlled
by computers -- and can even land themselves, but: there
still are two people up front, and they can and do sometimes
override the computers. But airplanes are not trains, no two
of which ever are the same, and no two of which ever handle
the same.)
Corporations have responsibilities far beyond merely making
money. They cannot function at all without people, who have
needs that must be met in order to function properly.
