That's a standard NEMA 6-15 or 6-20 plug --- just installed them on my table saw when I reconnected it for 240v. Oddly enough Aus and NZ use a discontinued US standard plug (the three angular prongs).
What I'm trying to figure out is if this is a DC plant, why does just about all the apparatus on the electrical panel (knife siwthces, fuses) have three conductors? I recall seeing white marble fuse panels in their own hardwood boxes with doors which had glass in the walls at the landings on each floor. I think this plant ran the hospital rather than being a back-up facilty. This was the case a Presbyterian Hospital over by Geary St.
