The coulee channel is bridged by the mainline 24 times between Hatton and Connell. The problem area is possibly the final 2 bridges in the lowest part of the canyon, below where the side coulee that the Columbia Basin RR follows to climb out comes in. Those bridges are among the lowest clearance spans of any in there. They are also the only 2 that span running water for the whole year.
