Railroad Filmmaker "Don Olsen" passes

Don passed peacefully Aug 8th. It was a pleasure meeting Don the few times I did. His stories of firing steam in Dunsmuir will live on in the book "Smoke in the Canyon". At the book signing in Dunsmuir, it was a pleasure to sit and hear the stories first hand. The Railfan community has lost a great contributor.

Don Olsen produced many vintage railroad videos on STEAM and INTERURBAN subjects. They were usually narrated by Fred Krock. Warren Haack assisted Don on many film projects.
May he RIP !!
