Sounds like the only real "green" involved is the money saved with a convenient excuse. I recently stayed in a pricey foreign owned hotel in LA's Little Tokyo (hint.) The room was fine except for when I turned the A/C on, I was blasted with a most putrid moldy smell. Luckily it was April, and really did not need the A/C.
