Actually, the minority is, I think, very well-informed. They choose to interpret that information through a twisted belief system. And they have lots of well-paid lawyers to enforce that belief system. Works at both ends of the belief spectrum.

One must wonder where the money came from (and continues to come from) for all those well-paid lawyers; not all of them do environmental work pro bono, and not all of the money can come from donations from kindred spirits (and the monthly "emergency" donation junk mail that goes directly to trash with a short sanitation stop at the shredder).
