At a recent transportation conference in Canada a fire chief wisely pointed out that emergency responders benefit from general information about Haz mat traffic traversing their community but saw no need for specifics including when the next such train will arrive. His focus was on training and preparation, not dispatching a fire truck to shadow a train.
That said a terrorist would be delighted to know specifics on train movement.
