What's up at The Crucible?

The Crucible (at 7th and Union Sts. in Oakland) gives exhibitions and classes in metalworking and related art forms. A spur off the former Oakland Terminal line on Union St. enters the building through a large rollup door. As I drove by yesterday, the door was open, and I got a glimpse of what looked like an SP steel cupola caboose inside the building. Anyone know any details?
