The train in question was Amtrak #8, the Empire Builder. Due to late arrival of #7 yesterday, #8 didn't get out of King St. Station until after 6pm (over an hour late) and hit and killed the tresspasser just a few minutes later. #8 was held at the site for somewhere around 2-3 hours and ended up arriving in Spokane around 6:30am this morning (scheduled in at 12:30am).
