How did they ever get that job past the Coastal Commission???!!! Messing with a bridge right on the beach, that people walked on (whether they should or not), requiring access roads and bringing in and siting that big crane? I had some experience with the Commission in years past, and something like that would likely not have been done without many years of lawyering and appeals - but this time it seems like: RTA says do it here's the money, basic mobilization time later it's all happening! Huh?
