Veazey Pit is at the end of the spur that branches off to the south at Palmer Junction. It is along side the road to Enumclaw. They got some rock out of there when they reopened Stampede. This was the original Stampede mainline. Went through Enumclaw, Buckley, Orting, and to Meeker to join the Seattle Tacoma main. This line was replaced when the Palmer Junction to Auburn line was built. Meeker Southern runs on the west end of it now. A lot of the middle section is a trail.
