I was born and raised in Redding and retired after 31 years with the Redding Fire Dept. and I have never heard of Don Kirk or his organization who supposedly helps people after a house fire. Our firefighters organization worked closely with charitable groups that helped people in need and Mr. Kirk's organization was not one of them.

I would hope the city fathers of Sutherlin do their homework before committing anything to this group.
