My family and I rode it this past summer. Was a great trip, but there were only 9 paying passengers on the entire train, and I get the impression that wasn’t enough to cover the operating costs. Please, please if anyone is in the Cascade area go ride this train. It is a great ride, way better than the Horseshoe Bend to Banks run, and they need the patronage.
They offer round trip rides out of Cascade and Smiths Ferry, and they also offer one way rides out of Smiths Ferry with raft trips down (bring your own raft), as well as package deals with a rafting company and a ride and stay deal with a hotel in cascade.
