I may have missed it in previous postings in this thread, but one of the best array of photos of Gerber and its engine house is found in Issue No. 21 of TRAINLINE, published by the S P H & T S. The article was written by the late Alan Aske. Interestingly, the author refers to the locomotive servicing facility as a "roundhouse."

In a modern context, Google Maps Satellite View clearly shows the foundations and concrete floor of the engine house still in place. The 6 roads are clearly visible with the sunken space between the rails ("grease pits??) filled with soil. A very interesting S.P. archaeological relic.
