Yes the Empire theater sign is still there. When i moved to Lind I asked the locals about the history of the theater. I was told that the seats were sold to another theater in Spokane some time back. The Phillips building which houses the theater has apartments in it now. The old drug store is a junk shop, the old restaurant is now a laundromat, and the theater is unused. If you check the Adams County Historical Society website there are pictures of the building under construction. My research into the town suggests that the building was build just around the end of WWII, or slightly thereafter.
