You know as do I that not everyone can go off grid. However, I support the oil trains because I think that we can then stop importing crude from the middle-east to California. The west coast is not feed from the national pipeline so the only way to get alternative oil, is from Alaska (not enought for the west coast) or by train.

Funny if they really wanted to get by the regulations all they (EPEE) to do is split the train in Sparks into two block and combine with some manifest traffic. BTW did anyone notice we have been running 80 car ethanol trains across Donner for years w/o issue.
