I loved the modoc, but it did have many things going against it. Figure a lumber load originates in Eugene, OR going to Kansas City.

Modoc, it has to get drug over Cascade Summit, Sage Hen, Madeline-Likely, then either Wasatch or Soldier and if Soldier, MOffat after that.

If it goes UP, it has a nice flat run up the Columbia, then Kamela, Telocaset/Encina, Reverse/Glenns Ferry and Sherman. OF those, Kamela is the only big obstacle as opposed to Cascade, Sage Hen, Wasatch/Soldier all being comparative sons of guns,
