Unfortunately I think you're right. Such a shame, all that good scrap steel going to waste. Of course I'd rather see a working railroad, but regardless of any nimby/enviro concerns I doubt it would pan out financially. Recalling the salvaging of the Kentucky House branch (is that name correct?), they took EVERYTHING, every spike tie plate, everything. Oh well.
