Did the update. Not sure what needed patching at the .0.1 level but it didn't make any difference in the westcoastrailforums page. Several strange things, though:
1) As noted before, it works fine in IE 11, so it's not something with my firewall etc.
2) If I "View Generated Source" (using the Web Developer toolbar), the code in the page looks just fine, with the image source just before the alt text (the alt text is what displays).
3) If I right-click on the link text, the DOM inspector shows the correct line including the image source (at fototime.com) but the image source and alt text positions in the line are reversed from what was in the source.
4) If I right-click on the link text and "View Image" another tab opens up and displays the image, so the link is working but it's just not displaying on the forum page.
FF no longer has a lot of options in the dialogs, so I went into about:config and verified that image display is on (it is, and avatar and other images hosted at the forum web site all display fine).
I have allowed all scripts at westcoastrailforums in NoScript, and added it to the exclusions list for other protection mechanisms. Whether the others are on or not, the same problem occurs - no display on the wcrf page. I tried adding fototime.com to the whitelist on the chance that it was being treated as untrusted. Even tried (briefly) allowing scripts globally - no change. So something weird is going on that appears to be related to FF 33. Not sure if I can back up a version - need to do some spelunking at Mozilla.
Either that, or some forum tweak has occurred that blocks me from seeing images from other hosts. Or else there's some hidden cross-site scripting going on in the image embedding process (NoScript blocks XSS aggressively, and it's hard to bypass).
Anyway, I did find some workarounds to see the pictures. Very nice, and interesting process for assembling the new bridge. It's just annoying that I have to for some reason use the tweaks and not (any more) see the photos directly.
