Where is this train going?

While driving between Barstow and Mojave today I observed two Union Pacific trains on the BNSF line that parallels Highway 58. One was a Eastbound bare table (empty container flatcars). The other was
was a Westbound Work train (UP on BNSF tracks). Can anyone tell me where theses two trains were going? Also saw another bare-table train north of Bakersfield heading south. Thanks. ke6qr
