Mojave, California RR Question

I'm aware of the three main lines leaving Mojave; 1 to Bakersfield, 1 to Palmdale, and 1 toward Barstow. I'm also aware of the line that leaves headed north to service the Trona RR. However, looking on an old map (from 10-20 years ago) I see a railline going 5-7 miles west, from what looks like the east end of the Mojave yard. Can anyone explain what this was/is? Spur to a mine perhaps? Or to an industry - if so what?

Any insight appreciated.
