Golden Pacific Rolling Stock

It looks as though the ex-METRA bilevel gallery coaches used by the short-lived Golden Pacific operation have come to roost in the Portland area.

I found at least six of the cars parked on an industrial siding on the north side of Milwaukie, Ore. on Feb. 28. The cars are visible from Ore. Hwy. 99E (McLoughlin Boulevard). The siding is in an industrial area served by Portland & Western's ex-SP Tillamook Branch, just south of Willsburg Junction, where the branch split from the Portland-Eugene main.

To catch people up, Golden Pacific was the excursion operation set up on Tacoma Rail's ex-MILW Mountain Division line south out of Tacoma, Wash. The short-lived service used a former Reading T-1 4-8-4, #2100, and a former Amtrak F40PH for motive power

If anyone knows who now owns these cars, and what is planned for them, please feel free to share it with us.
