I recently got the Radio Shack Pro 97. Can hold 1000 channels, far more than I will need. It is a bear to program without the online software. Seems to be pretty sensitive of local frequencies.

I started with a Radio Shack scanner that only held 10 channels, to a Bearcat, to the Pro 97. I am quite satisfied with it.
