Not certain what state really bought, seems unclear to most residents of towns along the line, as some residents claim to have bought RR property right up to main line. Not really sure why state bought the line if they have crippled it from getting any new business. Maybe they just want to please some grain farmers and don't want to piss off the truckers by having a railroad that can go after lots of new business. Maybe it's supposed to be a private club for customers existing at the time of sale, and no one else allowed in. Who knows. Very disappointing to have more being torn up! Can't afford to lose much more and still expect a viable railroad.
