Cruising along the Puget Sound on it's way to Anacortes (Shell refinery I think).
In all seriousness, it would be horrible thing, if parts of one of these trains ended up in the Sound.
Oil Train at Day Island
So the irony is that while the oil trains are likely going to continue plying these rails and couldn't care less about the scenery, the Cascades trains, one of which was hot on the tail of the oil train, will soon be routed to a substantially less scenic, but faster (6 min) route.
Cascades fading in to the sunset.
Wonder if there will be big deal made for the last passenger train to run here?
