GUNNER XV has precisely hit the nail on the head...it takes MONEY and COMMITMENT to take over a Class I castoff and succeed. Where the Class I' have a different department to handle each new problem or emergency, a shortline must deal with seven day a week service; middle of the night phone calls, on and on and on ....... something a FIG shareholder never considers about running a railroad, only his dividend check.
