Great shows this year, starting right off with Tom Moungovans " That Other 70'S Show", and ending with the young shooters Travis Berryman and Phil Brahms with a poignant and sentimental last look at the McCloud. In between was a amazing historical look at he BNSF's Peavine by Bill Meeker with his before and after shots of the relocated line. Dale Sanders showed why he was worthy of the annual Photography award with his show on BC Rail. John Harder put together an exceptional show on the Key System. Another old hand, Dave Stanley wowed the crowd with his retrospective look at the O.C & E. Mel Patricks look at the final years o0f the Rio Grande Zephyr was up to his suusal high standards for photography and story telling. The Big WINNER of the evening was 23 year old Kevin Dorn who stunned the crowd with a first place in the COLOR Division of the BEST Picture. His shot taken this winter at Westwood in a heavy snowstorm caught the lead BNSF Unit is full stride blowing through a huge drift with snow flying everywhere. He also won the Black and White section as well with a BN plow train on a bridge on the Hamilton Branch with snow suspended in mid-air. This the first such double win by the same young shooter. The torch has been passed to a new generation. The production was first rate and the digital age is here to stay!
