I'm making a guess here, but capacity of the Stevens Pass line would only be 32 trains a day total both directions, with the tunnel being the bottleneck. Figure 20 minutes to go through, and 20 minutes to blow it out afterwards. That would be if everything ran smoothly.

Some idiot in Quincy (a consultant to the Port Of Quincy) said BNSF should double track the line between Spokane and Everett. Wonder how I could get a job like that? I make idiot statements all the time......
