Weekend snow storm will affect Sierra & Tehacapai

Winter doesn't officially arrive until NEXT weekend, but a strong, cold storm from the Gulf of Alaska will move north-south thru Calif. beginning tomorrow night first impacting the Siskiyous, then FRC, the Sierra most oF Saturday, the Tehacapai Saturday night and Palmdale-Colton Cut-off and upper desert Sunday and Monday. Snow level will drop to near Colfax late Saturday and around 3000 ft. further south into Sou. Calif. with snow on the Grapevine and Cajon Pass. Snowfall will range from around 4 to 8" in the FRC down to Blairsden, I-80 corridor6 to 14" from Alta to Truckee and 3 to 6"on Tehacapai. Up North, snow will fall on CORP and on UP at Mt. Shasta City and BELOW Dunsmuir. BTW a similar storm is expected the following weekend. (last weekend of month) UP Norden Weatherman Mike Pechner
