I started this new tjread about the YW to not hijact the Siskiyou thread below.

Question: I thought that big chunks of the Yreka Western has already been torn up. Last time I drove by it on I5 I saw abandoned ROW with the rails gone. I didn't pull off the highway to look closer since my wife and kids wanted to get home. But it didn't look good from the interstate. Overall I'm not that familiar with the YW so did I see it wrong? Or is it toast?
