So, Google imagery covering the Yreka area has the following dates, as per the Historical Imagery bar in Google Earth:
7/11/2014 (current)
7/7/2012
5/24/2009
6/25/2006
And so on.
To answer the original question, sometime prior to 2012 YW scrapped out its old mainline, extending from just past the depot on down to the old sawmills past Oberlin Road. This is the abandoned stretch visible from I-5. In 2012/2013 they scrapped all but three of the cars that had been out in front of the depot, then pulled all other remaining tracks in front of the depot, leaving only the spur down into the shop. Ties are still there, rails are not. Otherwise the mainline is still itact from the shop lead switch on into Montague.
Remaining equipment on the railroad includes the #19 in the shop, an ex-SP economy baggage car in Yreka, and the #21 and the ex-GN ore jenny stored out at the old Hi-Ridge/Timber Products facilities. In addition, two of the SP "Subs" are still on the property, one on wheels on the shop lead and the body of the other is on the ground down past the shop, both of these are owned by Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad and awaiting shipment north.
