When you follow the old SP south of Oregon City on 99E, there is a stretch of gorge where the Willamette passes through the very southern end of the Tualatin Mountains. Basalt flows once blocked the river here, and the remains can be seen today as Rock Island. Coords: 45.31395, -122.6630
