So soon we forget. After the wreck, I think it was Chatsworth, they had engines on both ends. Why not use an old peice of crap engine, sans everything but put controls and some weight on it.
I know, it MAY save a life but, hey that means they will lose their profits.
I think the unions should treat it as a MAJOR problem and start the strike clock. (It takes forever to get all the ducks in a line, waiting 90 days here, waiting another 90 days for cooling off, it goes on and on. But it would at least, save some lives.
Oh, I forgot. The carriers figure how much a life is worth and get to weigh it with the cost of safety.
