I talked with the GM for Great Northwest in Lewiston last week and he told me that I probably will find out the status of the CW branch as quickly as he does. Negotiations are being conducted at a higher level than he is and we all (including him) will probably see it in the news when it finally happens.
He doesn't expect the bridge to be rebuilt at this time between Colfax and Pullman.
The former manager of the BG&CM formed an operating company called the Washington and Idaho Railway and is operating the P&L branch using Watco power. I understand they are storing surplus cars on the track between the burned bridge and Pullman.
