Probably a little of column "A" and a little of column "B".
I would imagine that in rural settings would pose a little "target practice" by the yokels. The graffiti would be from the city folks. It would just depend on where the two groups decided it was safe/okay to party trackside.
I remember seeing a campfire blazing at a siding near where I live. I passed by and then called the fire dept. It was on railroad property (CN), very near to some parked CP coal cars. Well, after the phone call, I headed over towards home, saw the parade of emergency vehicles zip by and decided to turn around and follow. I suspected that I, who made the call should be there to answer any questions by the firemen. I got a thrill at the sight of partying teenagers fleeing in all directions once they realized the party's over.
Does anyone know if railroad equipment (rolling stock) gets tagged more in the city or in the rural country? It would be interesting to find out....that is, if anyone has studied the matter...
