Having read all this stuff on both sides and talking to some of the parties, I drew my own conclusions.

I agree the present leadership is pretty well entrenched. But I also know they have steered the place though some tough times and got it back on a secure footing financially. I do not believe for a moment they have been selling equipment to "pay bills." They have sold some stuff that was irrelevant to the WP collection, made some trades, and scrapped some stuff nobody else was willing to take. They've been up front about it, IMO. Most of what has left went to good and/or more appropriate homes, such as the MILW U-Boat.

As for how the place looks, anybody who wants it to look better is welcome to join and come up and help. During work weeks, people show up from over 1,000 miles away, at their own personal expense, willing to lend a hand. A lot more than the dissidents can say.

I think this boils down to ego issues more than anything. Now that the place is pretty stable it looks like some folks have an envy problem and also think they should be individually consulted when decisions are made. They were largely nowhere to be seen when the wolf was at the door. At least one wants special privileges, and another wants his hands on the purse strings. Another is virtually unknown, and there are others behind the scenes stirring the pot.

IMO, it's typical foamer club soap opera where those who can't get their way run to the nearest lawyer and whine rather than do anything productive.
