KCS Unit Facing South in SSF/Lead to Hunter's Point Question?

Questionnes:
1) how did the GGRM make moves ot Hunter's Point given all the gates that are along that lead? Would they have someone in their orgainzation in a van opening and closing gates? Or a trainman?
2) How many industries were on that lead once you got past the Dean's Trucking place (now Universla Cold Storage)? I noticed a couple spur tracks.
3) How much traffic was there to Hunter's Point? Any nuclear loads?

KCS 4527 is at SSF. Pointed south. Brought in the dirty dirt empties. There aren't any dirty dirt loads in the yard so I guess this unit will be towed south by the Mission Bay hauler?
